Pomegranate

Postby Michael » Thu Aug 15, 2013 7:54 pm

Ever feed pomegranate to your parrots? Kili & Truman really liked it. BUT Truman is a little dumb dumb and can't figure how to eat anything off the stalk. Truman LOVES corn but he can't figure out how to eat it off the cob and gives up. Same with the pomegranate. He seems to have taken to it but won't eat it out of the fruit for his life. He's really good for cracking big buts open, but can't figure out how to get a grape out of the skin.

Okay, that was soooooo cuuuuute! I needed to smile, thanks for sharing this :)

Tiki loved pomegranate so I'm not surprised Kili was omnom-ing it and even talking for it :)
Truman seemed more surprised by the tangy taste :)

My birds get it every chance I get to buy them (they don't carry them all the time) but I always take the little seeds out myself. I do feed corn on the cob all year round (fresh when I can find it and frozen when I can't) and everybody knows how to eat it (from the finches to the cockatoos).
