New birdie bread recipe!

Postby cml » Sat Aug 24, 2013 12:37 pm

I bought a bag of mixed dried fruit, all natural and non-preservatives, and decided to bake some birdie bread :). Both birds are munching at it right now beside me, really enjoying it :).

It was very simple and quick, and I just free-handed it after reading lots of recipes online and not finding something I could do with what I had home (most recipes use both corn flour and regular flour, damn americans ;), I went with crushed pellets instead) :

About 1.5dl of wheat flour
and the same ammount of dried fruit and crushed pellets.
About a teaspoon of oil.
2 eggs (if you want, remove the yolk)
A little water.
Just a hair of baking powder (EDIT: Pajarita pointed out that not everyone knows that you need to make sure it's aluminium free, so here's that info as well :).

They turned out great =)!

Please make sure the baking powder is aluminum free.

And, if I may make a suggestion? Next time, use fresh fruits and veggies instead of the dry ones -much healthier that way.
