Favorite Veggi

Postby MilesBird » Thu Aug 29, 2013 7:48 am

So yesterday my :irn: had peas for the first time and he absolutely loves them. He also loves his broccoli, fresh beans, and to a lesser extent Brussels sprouts. He will rip apart The green Leafy lettuce thing(cant recall the name right now and im not sure he is actually eating it) but wants nothing to do with carrots, cauliflower, or squashes. I was looking for other ideas and wanted to know what are your parrots favorite veggies?

Mine are pretty picky with veggies but they love corn and carrots. The corn I serve it on the con and I cut the carrots into small sticks so they can grab it easily with their foot.

Odd trait of my :senegal:. If I feed whole baby carrot he will throw it to the side and not touch after. If I cut it up into small pieces he will eat readily. Weird....

Mine won't touch corn but they prefer cauliflower kale and carrot. Ollie does like dry corn to play with though, he likes the noise it makes when he picks it off and drops it on the cage floor.

Wouldn't eat anything except cauliflower for a while.. Then discovered celery makes a entertaining snap. I swear you can't convince her a food is yummy because it's nutritious or even because it tastes good. No. If she doesn't have fun eating it she'd rather play and go hungry.
