My female budgie is a picky eater - I can't get her to eat anything but her seeds! However, recently she's gets quite excited when I eat mandarin oranges, and loves to nibble on the pith and the entire rind - but hates the actual orange fruit. Does anyone know if this is okay or not? I haven't had much luck. So far, I've been letting her chew on the rinds, but I'd hate to find out later that it wasn't good for her.
Also, are there any suggestions for coaxing my bird to eat fruits and veggies, and not just her seeds (and millet)?
Thanks kindly!
