And apparently if you are me and go to another pet store, you get another free sample of the same bee pollen for free! Lol It's pretty good, I had some in my tea the other morning. It is human grade after all. I give one little ball of it to Emmi every few days, she loves the pollen!

I feed it to the canaries during breeding season (I give them half a little tongue treat cup of it once a week and they eat it from there). I only use it on parrots when they first come to me and they have been on a bad diet (because of the natural vitamins and such in it -as you all know, I don't believe in the effectiveness of lab-made vitamins) or if they ever get real sick and loose a lot of weight (happened only once when I had chlamydiosis in the birdroom years ago). But, yes, parrots would eat pollen in the wild because all of them eat blossoms of one type or another but, of course, the amount they consume would be minute.

Once a friend of mine offered me a container of bee pollen, I readily accepted the offer. A few days ago, I read about Propolis, which would be use to cure the feather ailments of birds. Read more about Propolis here.
