Pellets are not the healthiest option and the colored ones are the worst, anyway. Why don't you try cooking some whole grains (wheat, barley, oats, brown rice, teff, kamut, quinoa, etc -it doesn't have to be a mix of all of them but 3 or 4 is good) and mixing them with cooked veggies (the frozen ones are good) like corn, peas, diced carrots, chopped broccoli or cauliflower, green beans, sweet potato, squash (like butternut, pumpkin, winter, etc), beets, artichoke hearts, etc. I know it sounds like a big hassle but once you get into it, it's not because you can make a big batch once a month and put daily portions in baggies and freeze them, besides, it's a MUCH healthier diet than pellets and they all love it.
