Hello, i'm new and have been searching the internet for answers but no luck so I thought i'd try here. I recently got a Green Cheek Conure who is a breeder rescue. Shes been doing pretty well as I have only had her a little over a week. She eats and drinks plenty likes to head bob, sings and overall seems to be doing well. However tonight I checked on her before bed and she came right to the front of the cage and yawned a few times so I was talking to her saying "sleepy bird" and she blew air out of her mouth. She was very mouthy the first couple days so when she went to bite I would gently blow on her to help prevent it. So I blew back at her and she did it, repeating me each time I blew air she would too. I don't know if she was just mocking me or if this is an issue or not. I've been doing a lot of research as I have never had a conure before, and have been extremely careful about what she is given and toxins. Should I be worried?
I can tell you with most certainty that she is just copying you! Apollo, my Sun Conure, started a sound exactly as you described when I got sick and was blowing my nose a lot. Now whenever I purposely blow air out my nose loudly he will copy.
Just to describe the sound its almost as if he is hissing but not really. It is just, as you say, blowing air
