I no longer garden but I have so many birds that one big bundle of greens is enough for a single day - same with the fruits, I use 2 pints of blueberries or 3 pomegranates or 6 large apples or 2 large mangoes or 1 large red papaya a day so I have no waste whatsoever (only large grocery bills -LOL).

Haha! Well, I hope you get a neighborhood Sprouts soon. They are so cheap for organic produce and bin food. They know me there. I buy small bags of bin food and they know it's for my bird. Who would walk into a store and buy 10 pine nuts from the bins? ME! Those are two weeks worth of Emmi's bye bye I'm going to work, treats. Lol

There are good pellets and crap pellets...

Good - TOPS & Goldenfeast

CRAP --- Harrisons, YES harrisons is crap, look at the ingredients, sunflower, peanuts, soy, corn, to mention a few, they're such rubbish, I don't understand how they got such a name, well from clueless bird owners who thought, WOW this is organic, let's buy Harrisons, LMAO...

Is Goldenfeast really that good? It's available at the bird shop, and I've thought about trying it.

Goldenfeast has soy so I don't recommend it.

You are right it does have soy, but they also have a lot of other good ingredients;

Beyond TOPS & Goldenfeast, maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I can't find any better Organic Pellets... hmm

If I was going to go with a pellet (which I don't see myself doing because, even if the ingredients were all good and the nutritional values were exact and right on the mark, I would never feed a parrot something as dried and processed as a pellet), I would go with TOPs and no other.
