I came home this morning and did the morning ritual of cleaning out water and hugging each bird before I go to bed.
I noticed a flight feather on the bottom of Noodles cage which led to a closer investigation only to discover that all of her fligh feather (that she just grew in)
were on the bottom of her house! So I took her out and looked and she had a bloody spot on her wing. I rinsed it off and pulled a broken feather so it wouldn't bleed again.
None of the flight feathers were broken so she must have pulled them out. She's never done anything like that before and it really concerns me.
She's eating normally, same weight, active, playful and bathed regularly. Nothing new has been introduced into the home so I don't know what the trigger might be.
I'm really worried about her!
I'd take her to the vet but there's nothing specific other than her pulling out all her flight feathers last night.
Any ideas? Anyhting like this happen to anyone else? Is this the first sign of a plucker?
