Parrots are not born knowing what to eat and, as babies and juveniles, they learn from their parents what is safe and what is not (they see the parents eating it and they imitate them). Because we take the babies away from the parents when they are still very, very young, they never learn to eat a wide range of foods and tend to be VERY suspicious of anything new so your best bet is to offer just a few things a week, repeat them all the time (like you can give her something she doesn't usually eat -like blackberries, for example, on Mondays, and Thursdays, oranges on Tuesdays and Fridays, sweet potatoes on Wednesdays and Saturdays, like that), eat whatever you are offering her early in the morning making a big show of how good it is -but eat it, don't just pretend because they are smart, they know. And, once she starts eating that particular fruit, replace it on the program with another one she doesn't eat until she eats a good variety. But, to give you an idea, all of mine love apples, grapes (they eat all types but prefer the pink), corn on the cob, baked sweet potatoes, blueberries, blackberries, red papaya, pomegranate seeds and celery so start with those.
