Unfortunately, it really doesn't matter if it is actually ok or not as he needs to get this figured out and fixed and it sounds as if he is starting to get worse. The good news is that he will probably be ok with the trip as long as you keep him warm. In many cases that is the most important thing you can do for them when you need to transport them. For his benefit, just get him in to the vet as soon as you can do so.
I am in much the same situation as the closest vet for me is 2 hours from me.

edit: I just read what I wrote and although my first statement sounds uppity and / or sarcastic, that is not how I meant it. It is merely a statement of the fact and no disrespect is intended.

I will keep working on his diet.
The specialist is an hour away that can do an x-ray. Is that ok for a bird to be in the car driving for that long if they are sick?
This is not going away and it's still worrying me. My bird doesn't seem as lively as he has been.

If you are referring to the cockatiel with the terrible polyuria, the vet did diagnose the problems, his liver and kidneys were severely malfunctioning to the point that he suggested I put him down right then and there because 'he will not last two months'. But I decided to try diet and supplements first and his polyuria/polydipsia got all better, he gained weight and ended up living almost another two years. He was 19 when I got him so he lived to be around 21, which is a very respectable old age for a cockatiel and even more so taking into consideration how bad his kidneys and liver were damaged...

I don't know where you are located but, if you are anywhere near me (Northeast NJ), I would be more than happy to help out in any way I can (gloop, supplements, etc).

That's good your bird got better. I'm back on here because I have to do something. I'm going to ask his real vet to do the bile test, and give me the name again of the Avian specialist.
My Conjure is not better. I am trying to get him to eat the croop.
Thanks you all for your input. I am not a fended by your responses. It's hard knowing when and what to do. I need honest input.

I hope you find your answer but, in the meantime, I would put him on liver supplements, just in case (you can't overdose and they are always beneficial).

I live in South West Fl. Englewood.
I will look online for a vit, supplement. He's not getting any better so next week I'm taking him back to the vet.
His poop has been green off and on. Does anyone know what would do that?

I am moving to Hernando FL. Good to know there is at least one parrot parent in my state.

Birds that eat seeds and fresh produce have green poop and it's perfectly normal and the color of wild birds' poop (it's when they eat pellets and hardly anything else that the poop is brown). But, in your bird's case, I think it's the urine and urates that are of the wrong color (at least, that's what the pictures you had posted before suggested) and I already told you, it usually means severe liver issues.

Is Hernando FL. up by Tampa? That is cool a parrot parent will be close by.

I know I have asked a lot of questions, and maybe the same ones. I don't want to put anyone off I really appreciate the experience and help I am getting here.
I left a message at his Vets office. I asked him to call me so we can discuss the next step. I also asked if he could call the specialist that is part of his Lab contract. I know he wanted to do the probe in his anus before I got a specialist just to rule everything out.
I will ask him to do a bile test. Is that like the bile in your stomach?
This is really hard to deal with. Just not knowing what to do. The Vet is so booked that he's rushed and inflexible.

No this is not the stomach acids. Bile is a complex chemical solution produced by the liver whose function is to break down things like fats and proteins so that the body can use them. I believe that it does it work in the intestines and in the blood stream although I could be in error on this last. The bile acids test will tell us quicker than any other test if the liver is functioning properly or not.
