My Sennie has for years made a sort of low volume rattle/buzz sound by clacking or vibrating his beak from side to side. He seems to be very relaxed and content when he does it - and he's done this for years. This is different from the full on beak clack I see when he's wanting something. And it's also different from the more vocal, almost cat like, "purr" that I hear when he's chatting with me and a little more excited.
Is this a normal Senegal vocalization? I'd hate to think he's been in low grade pain all these years and I've been ignoring it!
I did get some video, you will have to turn up your volume! Sorry about the angle - I had to do this rather surreptitiously over my shoulder, otherwise he perks up and stops.
