I feed mine gloop (dish of cooked whole grains, pulses, flax/sesame and sometimes chia seeds and vegetables) accompanied with raw produce (one veggie, one fruit, one leafy green -a different one each day) for breakfast and a small portion of two different seed mixes (one for cockatiels with some striped sunflower seeds and one for small psittacine which is safflower-based) and one different nut a day (could be an almond, could be half a walnut, could be a pecan, etc). I don't feed pellets or human food at all.

Put bird seed in the freezer for 24 hours when you first bring it home. When it gets back to room temperature store it in a sealed container. This really goes for all pet food plus any starchy human food such as flour or pasta.

There are also "pantry moth traps that can be put out to collect those loose in the house.

Well, freezing oils (seeds benefits are in their oils) changes their chemical structure so I don't freeze seeds or nuts. But the pantry moths traps work great because they can't reproduce.
