Hiya wolf, sorry to clear up any confusion I do do alot of flight training (and other training) with ollie, he flies about a fair amount naturally anyway and I do all I can to encourage the natural flights. We also do a fair amount of recalls and sending him away, to his perch, to my boyfriend and a few other trained locations in the room. Our rooms not massive but its a good 18ft long so I try to get him doing length of room most.

I cant do recall with harlie as yet but am working on encouraging her natural flights. She is lazier than ollie with that though.

If you are doing that much then you really are doing about all that you can with them.

Your country might be, the breeding season in the UK is around late nov-jan, early feb at latest, for the green cheek conure and around now for the 'tiel.

6 days a week they get a minimum of 6 hours, I work, my partner works. How exactly are we supposed to increase that?

I live in the States so we are both in the Northern Hemisphere and the seasons are the same. If he is flying six hours a day, he is flying as much as the wild birds so there is nothing you can improve on that.

Ok, thanks pajarita. Obviously he Isnt flying for 6 hours straight though, I do try to maximize the level of effort though by getting him flying from low to high points over a shorter than normal distance. I work with him a minimum of one hour a day, usually 3x20 min sessions but it could be 6x10 or random 5 minute spurts depending on what else is happening. he is very willing unlike lazy bum harlie lol.

Im still struggling to get my head round why breeding season for the gcc here was over months ago but yours is just ending.....

I don't know if this is true or not or even if it would be relevant if true. In some of the reading that I have done, I seem to recall that a small portion of great Britain is tropical enough for palms to grow. Could this have any effect, if true?

No idea, people do have palms but whether they are mutated to survive our climate or its a certain type of palm or not I have no idea. Im not very good with plants at all.
