slow digestion problem

hello friends
i have 5 months age blue and gold macaw
one week before he stopped having food
cauze of hotness of weather in Pakistan. Someone told me that he is suffering from dehydration then i started to give 50% more water in his feed. After two days he he gets better and get active but he didnot digest his food in that time in which he digest earlier.
if there is any medicine so plz recommend me.

First question that I have is doesn't your bird have free access to water around the clock? And the second is how do you know he isn't digesting his food? And last is what do you feed him?

Sounds like sour crop to me but it could also be PDD or psittacosis. He needs to be taken to an avian vet because we are talking about completely different problems that require completely different medications. In the meantime, keep him completely isolated from other birds and disinfect everything you use for him and talk to the breeder to see if he has other sick birds.
