I know about zoonotics. but what about us, can we give our birds something? just wondering.

Zoonosis being cross species disease transmission, although I do know that there are some diseases that can be passed from bird to human or from human to bird I do not as of now have a listing of which diseases can be passed in either direction.
I am curious. why are you asking? Do you have more information to share on this or are you looking for something specific?

Wolf Well I was just wondering since I am single and if I am sick I still have to take care of my companions. I still wash my hands and everything but I was just wondering if I was sick should I use gloves. Thanks

Well ,I really doubt that gloves would be of much use, but I will do some research and see what I can learn and share whatever I find out.

You can't pass the cold or most of the flu viruses to them (too big) but you can pass other respiratory infections - as well as infect them with salmonella, e.coli, etc if you are not careful washing their produce and your hands thoroughly before you touch them or their food. Personally and even though I know it can't happen, I am always very careful when I am sick, I wash my hands thoroughly before I do anything with them and I never breathe, cough or sneeze on them, or kiss them. My motto has always been 'Better safe than sorry and, when in doubt, don't do it" and it has served me well all the years I've kept birds.

Wolf, Pajarita Thank-you very much that's what I was looking for. When I had snakes I always did the same thing, wash before and after I went into the snake room. That's what I will do with my bird.

Good thinking as that would drastically cut the chances of passing anything along even if it was something that you could.
