MMM Good

For about three days I have been trying to get my guys to try walnuts. I have been giving them crushed walnuts and they just let them drop. so today I tried Michaels LOL. I sat in between the two of them one on one perch and the other on the other perch. I gabbed the bag and started to eat the nuts. making sure I made noise with the bag. I mm'ed and said how good it was, after about 5 minutes of this I gave each one a taste and Son Of a B...they both ate them and just love them now.LOL :gcc: :jenday:

That's EXACTLY what my GCC does. She won't touch ANYTHING unless I eat it first. Lol. They're such funny little dorks.

That's the way nature made them. They are born very altricial and without any instinctual knowledge of what is safe to eat and what is not so they need to learn from their parents. Parrot keepers always say 'Parrot see, parrot do' and it's a very accurate description of their approach to things.
