Okay I am starting to train him onto veggies with his seeds. I understand dogs and cats aren't wild but they still are carnivores which pajarita addressed perfectly. Sorry if my post was a bi over the top and it made me sound like I didn't want your answers. I will return the pellets for another seed mix. Thanks for your help everybody :D

actually, you sounded like a concerned pet owner trying to make heads or tails out of a lot of conflicting information and just wanted to do your best for your animals. I am glad to see this.

Try cooking brown rice (you can also use black japonica and red Himalayan rice) and barley together (both things you can find anywhere) and mixing it with chopped broccoli, corn, peas and carrots (you can buy them all frozen and in small packages at the supermarket), I bet he will eat it after a couple of days. And, yes, I am with Wolf, you were just concerned and wondering about the whys of it. Nothing to be sorry about.
