Melody is making a clicking sound....Is she sick?

Melody, every once in a while, makes a clicking sound, or a weird sound I can't describe. It is usually after preening or after drinking water. It really has me worried because I think she sneezing or something. Is this bad?

It would really be helpful if you could describe it better or perhaps get a recording of it so that we can hear it ourselves. I would so love to help you with this.

Actually, their sneezes sound just like ours only very tiny, a clicking sound from the chest is usually cough.

[Melody]

Hers are a cross between a human sneeze and a click. Does that mean she's sick?

I really can't tell there is not enough information to give an answer without hearing it. But it is always better to be safe than sorry so if you think that she may be sick take her to see the bird doctor real soon.

With you telling us that you took her to a petco where there appeared to be several sick birds, I would not gamble my birds life on what it may or may not have caught. Instead, I would be banging on the vet's door to get them to let my bird in.
