The vet called to say the culture was negative, which she said means there are no microbes being shed, not that there are none inside, so I should complete the course of antibiotics.

On the behavioral front, Corsair is acting livelier and finally back to shaking raspberry juice all over her cage and our library. Her poop looks pretty normal, but my shirt is still too clean.

Pajarita, my problem with water bowls is what may grow in them when I am at work. My college age son who is in the same room with her most of the day, has a problem with scaled feet, so I have not asked him to be responsible for sticking his hand in range of two of them several times a day to change the water. When I'm home, or it's an emergency she gets bowls/tubs in addition to the bottle(I've been coming home for lunch this week to clean the water/add birdie bread etc). My bird loving daughter is currently living out of state, so we do the best we can.

Couldn't you use a hooded feeder dish to keep her from pooping in the water while you are gone?

There is no reason I can't get one and see what she does with it. Good idea, Wolf!
