My IRN ate one of my laptop's rubber bumper earlier today (he is sleeping now), should I be worried about it? He chewed a few of my other rubber bumpers before but I'm not sure if he ate it or not, but this time I suspect he ate it. What should I do? Will the adhesive or the rubber or both harm him?
If there is an avian vet that you can go to, I would as there is a strong possibility that I will form an impaction which would kill him. I would go right away.
I doubt he actually ate it (mine like to chew things into teeny tiny pieces but they don't really swallow them) but keep an eye on him. Food goes through them in a matter of hours (it averages two hours from beak to poop) so make sure he is pooping regularly but, if he is not, take him to the vet because he will need an ultrasound, most likely.
