I am not overly fond of the dried milk, salt, sugar or soy.

I did not see any soy, salt or milk but I did see three different sources of sugar plus fruit concentrates so it's no wonder the bird likes it - I would not feed it to mine but a teeny tiny piece once a month or so as a special treat should be OK.
