I don't agree with breed as there are too many unwanted birds already.

As for the toe, I have also have a Senegal parrot who's missing most of one toe nail, his toe's formed pefectly but it's like most of his toe nail was ripped off at some point. I was told at one point it would grow back but it never did, doesn't seem to many any difference to the bird's ability to climb though.

The deformed toe may be a genetic problem that could pass on if you intend to breed though.

I don't believe in breeding. Everything in my house is fixed accept the bird and I restrict them. I do rescues. I knew Cagney and Lacy needed me is why I went the distance and paid the rehoming fee to get them. I did not know how much they needed me until I got them home. Lacy has one back toe. The rest are just little nubs. She has learned to use her nubs for climbing.
