I also in snow geese headed north while passing through Idaho. The article said that the real danger was to any birds and animals that were in the immediate vicinity of the dead geese and that this is read this article and it is the most important infectious disease of waterfowl in North America.
So my question is how does this impact my birds if I take them outside or put them in an aviary on my property?

Well that put a halt to my outside aviary. I will still give them a whole bedroom with their own lighting. That way I can get in to their cage with them. They all have different personalities. I wonder which one will fly to me first.
