Apart from the obvious beak issues, I'm curious what the facial deformities are all about?

Although I can't say for certain these look to me like battle scars.

The beak issues look more dietary than anything else (lack of betacarotene and proper protein -high protein does not mean the bird is getting the right type of protein). I don't know what the 'bumps' on his front (forehead) are, could be cysts, could be bone scar tissue, could be regular scars, could be serious inflammation from a sinus infection, etc . Enlarged nares on protruding cere as he has usually mean a long term sinus infection (lack of betacarotene in his diet, most likely). Poor thing, he looks to be in terrible physical condition. And have you noticed the 'hunched' position with the wings separated from his body when he is perching on the man's shoulder? He was, most likely, begging for food...
