Well, you need a complete blood panel for the possible renal disease. You already know it's, apparently, not liver, diabetes or psychological from the previous results so, personally, I would test for metal and do the complete blood panel to make sure it's not kidney disease. If that did not work, I would do an endoscopy to see what those 'mineral' deposits are.

Ask them if they can just 'run' the values they did not run before, it will be cheaper than running everything, including the ones you already got.

Update

There are some signs of improvement less manic drinking and peeing is still in the antibiotics however tonight his droppings seemed to stick from his rear as if he could not dislodge it. Could this be an effect of the antibiotics? No test results back yet for clamidiya...

A dirty vent usually means diarrhea which could be a side effect of the antibiotic treatment as it kills the good bacteria as well as the bad one in the entire digestive system - and birds which did not start off the treatment with good intestinal flora end up depleting it completely and getting diarrhea in the process. Try giving the bird a good probiotic two hours after his meals (I use Keybiotics -see this: http://consumersguides.com/probiotics_reviews/).

Hi folks the chlamydia test has come back as a negative for my sennie.

Vet seems a bit puzzled and not sure what the best plan is. They said they could do a toxicology test - or more invasive tests but I get the impression they are not sure what to do next. They pushed it could be behaviour but this would not explain the low white blood count as I pointed out?

I was thinking perhaps a second opinion from another local vets before I do much more? I have all the test results...

I am pretty much staying out of this thread so as to avoid any confusion and also to learn more from what Pajarita has to say about this. I do think that in addition to a toxicology test especially for metals that a second opinion would be a very good idea at this time.
Have you started improving your friends diet yet? If so what are you giving him now and when does he get it?

I would most definitely do a metal test. But I would wait about two to three weeks after the end of the medication treatment for another opinion - this is not because I think it's better to wait but because the new doctor is going to want to run the blood again and you need to wait until the antibiotic is completely out of the bird's system and the immune system already took over (or not) to get accurate results for a good comparison.

But Wolf is correct about not waiting for a good, fresh food diet, a strict solar schedule (indispensable for a healthy immune system) and even some good supplements (I would do a general detox, immune system boosters and some multivitamin/mineral -but careful with these because if the bird has been on pellets and little else all along, no extra vitamins or minerals are needed at this point in time).
