I've used square/rectangular plastic containers for birds before and I don't like them. They were harder to clean than the current round stainless steel containers I have, and they are faaaar less durable. Food would dry in the corners of the dish and it was nearly impossible to get it all out. Cleaning my bird's dishes in the morning is so much faster now.
