Well, the circus diet is, basically, a kind of cheap gloop with the following differences:
1. they use sprouts of cheap seeds all year round (they actually say to buy wild bird seed for it)
2. they don't use whole grains
3. they use dry corn (which I don't approve of)
4. they don't offer raw produce whole or in large chunks to their parrots
5. they leave the same food there for 24 hours
6. it's not organic
Aside from this, I don't like the idea of giving them beans cooked in crock pots and I found the following statement to be incredibly irresponsible on their part:
"This list of 18 foods was taken form a list of 30 poisonous foods list I found on the internet. Asparagus, Kidney Beans, Lima Beans, Butter, Coffee, Carbonated Beverages, Chocolate, Dried fruits, Egg Plant, Gatorade, Dairy Products, Olives, Onions (raw or cooked), Peanuts, Rhubarb, Tomatoes, Alcohol, Anything high in salt, sugar and fat content.
All of these items are fed at Hartman Aviary. We do not commonly feed alcohol but we have had many parties where birds are invited and we know for sure that most parrots love beer."
But then, these people are breeders...
Personally, I think that, in terms of quality and variety, the gloop diet (if we can call it that) is superior to the circus diet.
