Is this the moulting season for all Senegal or just mine? Seems like this time of year is his major moulting.

Its spring which means it is molting and breeding season.

Yep mine are both molting and Martini has turned into one very mean little bird. I think the breeding season is slowing down with him though as he has not been quit so mean. Alex wont be concidered an adult until July so it will be next year at the earlist before I see any real change in him.

yes indeed ive got one thats in full moult and turns into phsyco bird and back again when neck scratch is wanted. :senegal: ;)

Our :senegal: seems to just have finished up his moult. His started all the way back in December! I wonder if where you live makes a difference. I'm in the mid-Atlantic of the US.

I know Lucy is moulting right now. She doesn't really get too moody, but there are times when she'll pull away from scratches when I can feel where a new feather is growing in.

Jessie, hasn't shown any signs of moulting yet. If I recall from the past couple years, he was always a little later than Lucy.

My tiel is just finishing up and he started months ago. :? The aloe baths have helped along with some preening assistance from me. Poor thing didn't have a tail for a while...
