Low iron content, low complete proteins, low simple sugars. Steer clear of pellets and anything that advertises firm stool, aka Lori constipation. Consensus seems to be that dry powdered foods served seperatly with water for the Loris to wet on there own and dry powders that require the addition of water and possiblly other ingredients to form a gel before serving are both good depending on brand. However both have their disadvantages. Dry powders served seperatly with water require the Lori to dip first in the powder then second in the water. This fowls the water quickly and promotes bacterial growth in the water. Making frequent water changes throughout the day necessary. The powder that you mix with water before serving doesn't require this 1 dip 2 dip process instead it requires the human to do the mixing. The drawback to this food is that it is served wet and requires changing within hours of serving especially in warm homes like mine (80°+). I'd prefer the food that you serve wet. Nekton-Lori Nectar seems to be the recommended brand but I thought I should ask here before ordering. I'd also heard that bee pollen is a good treat for training. Any thoughts on that would be appreciated as well. I do realize that Loris are predominantly not solely nectarivores their diets require the addition of fruits and vegetables. Read an article months ago about wild loris consuming ground beef. That's nothing I'll be feeding but it is interesting.
