I have a little bit of background with this. Specifically I want to say probiotics from a drug store or such, kept at room temperature are not worth the money or effort of taking them. IF one needs to have probiotics in large quantities they must be the kind from a health food store kept refridgerated. Probiotics are living organisms that do not have a long 'shelf life' at room temperature. They also will not thrive in pill form when taken with chlorinated water. I know this, long story short, because I had illnesses that required many antibiotics in a short period of time that destroyed my natural gut flora, causing much gastric distress and had to take high doses of 'fresh' probiotics for many months before I got any relief. Instead of buying water I now fill large containers and leave them open to air and light for at east 24 hours before consuming as that burns off the chlorine naturaly
