I would assume so. I know a breeder in South Africa that gives them all types of gourdy fruits raw and just cut in half. Just make sure you wash it carefully with soap and hot water because Lord knows who touched it before it got to you.

Yea it is raw, defrosted apart from the first piece I gave. I just chopped it up and stuck in in freezer ready to mix in with next lot of chop/gloop I make. Just been giving him a tiny bit each day but it's still not going down very well lol.

Try it cooked. Mine love their Calabaza (a Spanish pumpkin) and, the good thing about betacarotene is that you don't lose it when you cook it!
