I've fed them hard boiled eggs (boiled by me and crushed with shell) a very few times. eggs were store bought, not backyard.

still no problems with anybody else. new sibling has now undergone stress from parents wanting him out, and from me re-caging him by himself and having to 100% feed himself. no health issues. its in the 60s here inside the quarantine for both sibling and parents.

Store bought eggs can carry the mycoplasma but heat would kill it. I still think that, somehow, you ended up with an infected bird because this is the kind of disease that never disappears completely and the bird can shed the organism for the rest of its life whenever there is stress... That's why they have to destroy entire flocks of chickens when they diagnose it.
