Winter solstice

Postby Pajarita » Tue Dec 22, 2015 1:04 pm

Today, December 22nd, is the winter solstice so, from now on, the days will become longer and the night shorter with the birds starting to react to the difference around mid January (if they have been kept at a strict solar schedule, of course).

Today was just like any other day here.I thought its the nights are longer because it gets dark quicker. My birds are not on a strict solar schedule so my birds will be ok.

 Actually, if your birds are not on a solar schedule they are not as OK as the ones that are (this is not my opinion, it's a scientific fact). Be careful, Brandon, because you have cockatiels which are highly opportunistic breeders and you might end up with a chronic layer in your hands.
