Green cheek is clumsy lately, should I be worried?

Postby Mountainsof » Sun Jan 10, 2016 8:45 am

I've seen him trip and fall more often lately. I'm not sure if I've just been noticing him tripping more lately or if he has actually been tripping and falling more. Yesterday he fell to the bottom of his cage after I turned the light off, I turned it back on to make sure he was okay and he seemed fine so I waited for him to climb back up and then turned the light back off and went to bed. I'm also worried about him tripping more often, could these be signs of illness? He is also bobbing his tail and stands "fluffed up" on one foot, he sneezes and picks his nose alot. I know these other symptoms are serious and signs of illness and I'm trying to find an avian vet, But is the tripping and falling a factor?

OMG, yes, he is definitely very sick! Please take him to an emergency clinic ASAP! Don't even wait for a regular appointment!

Yes get him to the first avian or exotic animal vet who will see him and tell them that he is sick and that you are on the way. You can change vets as soon as you can find one that you like, but for now it is very important to get him in to the vet and get him the help that he needs right now. Consider it like you would in an emergency situation for a human, You get them the emergency care that is required and then get an appointment with your own doctor afterwards.
