A certain amount of flying into things is normal when they first begin flying and they fare better the younger they are when the start. You can hang curtains on windows or in front of mirrors to help them as these are usually the most dangerous places for them as they don't see glass and think it is an open hole that they can fly through and with mirrors they see the other bird so again they seem to think they can fly through them.

If the birds seems fine then it usually is, but if it seems to be dazed for more than just a minute then it may have hit hard enough to have a mild concussion, in which case it needs to have a couple of days of not flying into things. If the bird acts dazed for longer than a couple of minutes call your vet and talk to them about it.

There is really little you can do about walls except to hang sheets away from the wall from the ceiling or put perches in front of likely crash sites giving the bird the option of landing rather than crashing.

The best way to avoid them crashing into walls when young is to keep a VERY calm and quiet environment when they are learning to master flight because they only do it when they get spooked or startled.

If the room Rambo's cage was in was dark he would ask for help going "nite nite". I thought he
was afraid of the dark. Myrtle flew into my dark bedroom and hit the wall.

They can't see anything in the dark.
