OK, I can see that I lost you with my reply, allow me to try again. Palm oil is a highly saturated oil and you can tell this because it is semi solid at room temperature. Some parrot have evolved to eat the fruit of these oily palms and for those some palm oil would probably be helpful. Other parrots can not digest this oil and so it could make them sick as well as loading them down with cholesterol that could eventually lead to heart problems.
