Well you found the Health, Diet and Nutrition section easily enough and that is wonderful for my answer to you.
I feed my birds shortly after they wake up around sunrise a fresh raw fruit, vegetable and leafy green followed about an hour later with a home cooked food that we refer to as gloop. and then for dinner I give them a good quality seed mix. For treats most of my birds prefer almonds over any other seed or nut, although I do have a couple that like unshelled dry roasted peanuts some of the time. My little ones seem to like millet pretty well.
Once you are in the Health, Diet and Nutrition section you can use the search function to pull up everything that has been said about gloop as well as a few recipes for it.
The easiest way to discover out of the foods that you feed your bird what it would do the best with for a treat, especially for a training treat is to put some of the food on a small paper plate or in its food dish and watch what it chooses to eat first as these are its favorite foods and if you remove one or two of them from the birds regular diet you will be able to use them as a treat and for training the bird.
