We all know that parrots see in the UV range but this is super interesting because of the details of the 'mechanics' of it - for example (and something I did not know) there needs to be an in sync coordination of two different cones (these are a type of light sensitive cells) in order for 'things' to align correctly so the bird can 'see' violet and UV - now is that cool or what?! And, if you read between the lines, it makes you realize how important it is to have the best quality full spectrum light for them! Enjoy!
