Grecia Toucan story

Postby Pajarita » Wed Sep 07, 2016 10:34 am

I don't know if this is the same toucan that was featured on the TV special that Wolf mentioned a few days ago but, even if it isn't, the story must be quite similar. Grecia, a toucan in Costa Rica, was hurt by teenagers and having been found by good people who rushed her to a vet, everybody thought they were going to have to put her down because her upper beak was almost completely missing (they referred to it as a 'bloody stump'!) but a lot of people came together (including a 3D printing company in US) and all worked without charging a single cent to get her a new beak. And she is now been used to educate people on animal abuse. It's a wonderful story!

I thought it might be... but I would still like to watch the TV special on her (well, they don't even know if it's a she but everybody calls her a she).
