Is the water in the cage? Is it in a bowl or bottle? Have you been watching the bird 24/7? It is quite likely it snuck a small drink in when you're not looking. My parrot only drinks 1-2 times per day.

No, i haven't been with the bird 24/7 however i did catch him having a sneaky drink earlier! I'm probably worrying about nothing here :), he drinks from a bowl. :)

Odds are you won't spot them drinking (especially if they have food + water all day) because they only take a couple drinks a day and they have all the time in the day when you're not around to do that. I feed mine twice a day and she drinks from a water bottle so it is very obvious to see the water level go down and just to catch a glimpse of her drinking after eating.

Buddy only drinks with fresh water.... When I change it (a few times daily as he loves to make soup or have baths!), he comes to deck on his cage and has some gulps before I put it away ;)

I had the same impression when we first got Scooter. He does get a lot of water from his fresh food, but I do see him drinking now and again. I'm going to set up a bottle as I think that's easier to monitor and more sanitary, but I'll probably leave the dish as well.

When my senegal was at the store we fed and watered her twice a day. She also loves making soup, so i got to see her drink from her water bowl right away when I changed it out.

Now that she is here I'm teaching her to drink from a bottle. She has definitely caught on, but I don't think she likes how limited it is. She's all about taking a few big gulps and then rubbing her face down in the water, so I'll probably give her daily baths too.
