The Rb makes it easy for me.
He absolutely will not tolerate colored nails.
I haven't had sexy red nails since 1984.
*sigh*

I'm strict with aromas because I will always remember the lady whose parrot died within seconds of her using carpet freshener. I realise that we weren't so knowledgeable in those days but the incident stayed with me.

It depends on the parrot and the nails. Do you get your nails done in a salon?

I have gel nails and Chance doesn't touch my nails whatsoever. But, it might depend if your bird picks. If the bird does, then don't wear the stuff. Some parrots are freaked out by nail polish, anyway.
