How eggs got their shape

This is an article about how evolution determined the different shapes of birds eggs but what I found the most interesting was the comment that strong fliers evolved to produce elliptical and asymmetrical eggs. Parrots are obviously not 'strong fliers' because their eggs tend to be more round than the eggs of, say, passerines like canaries.
