Papaya seeds for parrots?

What are the pros and cons of papaya seeds in parrots´ diet?

I don't feed them to my parrots and I don't think I ever will but I will readily admit that it's just because of how they look to me - kind of disgusting... like some kind of fish eggs freshly laid or something equally slimy.

I have eaten them and they aren't too bad. They are reported to be good for reversing liver damage, so thought some would be good for birds that have been on a fatty diet. The information on papaya seeds is an interesting read.
