I went to my doctor for my annual yesterday and, when he prescribed a high dosage of D3 for me to take told me not to eat or drink anything made with milk two hours prior and two hours after taking it. This puzzled me so I asked him why and he said that there are new studies that indicate that when you take the D3 with a calcium rich source, the calcium actually inhibits the absorption of D3 - has anybody heard or read anything about this? Because I've looked and looked and looked and can't find anything that says that although I did learn that a high fat diet inhibits calcium absorption [birds free-fed seed would have this problem!]
