What do you use to mop the floor?

i dont use any floor cleaner because im justing renting a room out, all carpet. but if i get any ideas ill let you know!

I use vinegar and water you can add (natural)essential oils to perfume itjust a few drops,but as soon as it drys the vinegar smell leaves.
I also use it to clean EVERY THING ELSE almost.in a spray bottle i put half water half vinegar.

also to remove bird poop on anything i use club soda it bubbles the poop right off.

I use green works mostly now which is a "green" product. I was also looking into the steam mops but am curious to know how hot does the water actually get? I have a steam carpet cleaner and you fill it with hot water and thats the steam, it doesnt actually make it hotter and i do not like that (it gets cool so fast) I want something that really heats up and kills bacteria.

Yes and no... where I am locally we tend to distinguish between seltzer and club soda, both of which are carbonated water without added flavorings, as such, but may have added mineral buffers to make it less acidic/sour.

Be aware that not all "green" products are bird safe. Citrus oil is a common component and I understand it can bother some birds in the concentrations it occurs in cleaning products.

Don't rely on it. I read up a fair amount before I bought my steam cleaner, which I still owe a review on. What I learned is that steam cleaners clean well and the really $$$ ones that produce superheated steam are apparently pretty effective, but the affordable ones should be seen as primarily cleaners, not sanitizers, IMO. They can kill bacteria on hard, nonporous surfaces, but only if you really thoroughly heat the area which may not happen with normal use. 5 seconds sounds great, but that's 5 seconds for every patch you are cleaning, and if the surface is a little further away, very heat conductive or porous it may not get hot enough to kill any microorganisms. If you really need disinfection, remove the birds and use a chemical disinfectant, but if you just want to clean, the steam cleaner should be effective. Be aware it may damage wooden floors and some synthetic flooring materials, so be careful!
