Bump under nostril on Alexandrine

Postby Zahia » Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:55 pm

I feel like I may be being a bit paranoid now - and please let me know if I am! - but I just discovered a small, tiny, barely noticeable bump just under my bird's nostril. It's possible that it may have always been there because you can really only see the bump at JUST the right angle and lighting. It's not obstructing her breathing, she has no discharge and seems otherwise unaffected. Is this something I should be concerned about or am I just being paranoid?

I don't think it's anything to worry about. Others who know more will be along with more opinions, but it looks fine to me

Yes, you are being paranoid  She is fine. Maybe she scratched it when she was eating or rubbing her beak against a bar and the spot got a little swolen but there is no redness, discharge or anything so it's nothing to worry about.
