Winter Solstice

The winter solstice was yesterday with the shortest day and the longest night of the year. From today on, the days will start getting longer and, by mid January, there will be a difference of about 20 minutes which we know is the shortest difference a bird'ś body registers so expect behavioral changes to start around that date on long day breeders.
