iv seen the affects of de clawing a cat, not pretty. chop off you're toes and the knuckles you're toes are attached to and walk like that for the rest of you're life and thats what its like. cats develop all sorts of bone issues and stand walking with the paws twisted in and the elbows sticking out to try and relive the pain on there feet. its truley horrible to watch cats go through this especially lions they have so much more weight

I didn't say I was in favor of de-clawing cats. I was simply saying that for the safety of the bird, I really hope the cat is de-clawed.

Also, not all de-clawing surgeries end up like hack jobs. I've seen many laser de-clawing surgeries and the end results are great. And as far as I can tell it doesn't affect their mobility at all. I've watched de-clawed cats climb trees just as fast as any other cat. Sure, the recovery period is long and painful, but you are wrong about all cats developing these severe issues after the surgery. Again, I'm not saying I'm for the surgery, You just seemed to have missed my original point.

Back when I had a cat, we had her de-clawed. There weren't any problems, and even though she has no claws, she still manages to catch the odd mouse.

I don't think Jessie missed your point - I think she was just offering her opinion on the subject. Fwiw, it's considered barbaric enough in Australia that it's illegal here unless there's a legitimate medical reason for it.

Sorry to go off topic.

I admit this one is probably a lot less hazardous to the parrots overall health than many of the other videos on here, but the mere fact that any parrot owner would do it makes me cringe.
The dialogue and description astonish me... D:

I hope that bird keeps on biting them. They deserve it.
