Poop not 'dirty' after all...

Postby Pajarita » Tue Dec 31, 2019 9:34 am

This is an article answering the question of why water reservoirs are not covered so birds cannot poop in them, making reference to an E.coli contamination in one BUT, for us, birdkeepers, is important to know that it's ONLY wild birds that have E.coli because this bacteria is only produced by mammals and the only way a bird has of getting it into their system (and their poop) is when they peck at dirt where mammal feces are or have been. Our birds poop does NOT have E.coli.
